Sarah Weideman serves as the Executive Director of Homer Senior Citizens, Inc., bringing a wealth of experience in human resources, leadership development, and community engagement. With an educational background that includes a BA in Business with a concentration in Human Resources, a Master’s in Business Leadership, and an MBA, Sarah has spent her career dedicated to building compassionate, effective environments where people can thrive.

Currently residing in Wasilla, Alaska, with her fiancé on their small farm, Sarah balances her professional life with a deep connection to family and community. While pursuing her education, Sarah worked in nursing homes, home health, and cared for her now adult daughter, Allie, who has multiple medical and mental health challenges. These personal experiences have given Sarah invaluable insights into the needs of individuals requiring care, enriching her dedication to senior services.

Before joining Homer Senior Citizens, Inc., Sarah developed a diverse professional portfolio that spans both the public and private sectors. With roles in teaching, HR management, and consulting, Sarah has cultivated a unique skill set that merges operational expertise with a genuine passion for helping others reach their potential. As a volunteer and active community member, she currently serves as the Director- Elect for the Alaska State SHRM Council, the Vice President of Stone Soup Group, and other local organizations, fostering a commitment to social responsibility and advocacy for those in need.

In 2024, Sarah founded Phoenix Consulting, a firm that offers a range of HR, recruiting, and leadership development services, helping organizations across Alaska create inclusive, high-performing teams. Through this work, she has gained valuable insights into the needs of both individuals and organizations, further strengthening her ability to serve the senior community in Homer.
